A Fraud Report with the Federal Trade Commission

(I wonder if they, too, are a DO NOTHING agency...?)

My daughter left home with a Verizon cellphone on my husband's plan (circa June 2023). Soon after, my husband took my son and said he'd live with his mom, where I assumed my daughter was. Though she "went to attend SU" in August, I had not been able to contact her because I was involuntarily committed by my family and husband for 30 days on July 30, 2023. I did, however, purchase (4) new phones for my family from Verizon Acct #826731011-00001 Invoice# 8546468786 in case my husband was lying to me about my daughter's phone service and her not replying to my texts. After being released from the hospital, I contemplated that my daughter did NOT want to contact me so I went to return the phones after the said grace period. After speaking with the manager, Wayne, he called his supervisor and she told me that all would be forgiven (due to my involuntary detainment and inability to return phones sooner.) I also mentioned that I suspected someone had access to my house while I was gone so my daughter's phone was missing from my house. Wayne packaged the (3) remaining phones I returned in front of me and gave me a copy of the FedEx slip he was to ship the phones to the CRTC (Lonestar) warehouse at 2777 E. Long Ave Suite 111 Fort Worth TX 76137 FedEx TRK# 7732 6110 7764. After continuing to receive service bills from Verizon for the next 4? months, I had contacted Verizon's billing department 2, maybe 3 times and a ticket was created #ITTS 915 7182. FedEx said the package was delivered to Fort Worth on 9/5/2-23 at 1:24 however, they never credited my account or stopped sending me service bills. They instead sent me to a collections agency 1-845-394-5033 via text message. To contact MRS BPO, LLC at (866) 246-0218 regarding a matter for Verizon Wireless requesting a payment of $2,574.03. Note: "rights and information" at mrsbpo.com/state-disclosures were not listed for my state of Virginia. Verizon 1-800-922-0204 sent me to file a report at reportfraud@ftc.gov with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) 1-855-411-2372 who when I called them told me to visit consumer.finance.gov or call the Federal Trade Commission 1-877-382-4357. The FTC told me to visit report fraud.ftc.gov and gave me the number for the CFPB. What do you know? It's just like trying to get a print out of my son's bloodwork. They make you run around in circles with your head cut off because they are sending you some big $$$$ on a piece of paper and expect you to assume it's a bill, rather than one tremendously elaborate hoax to ruin your credit.

How I found the ReportFraud.ft.gov website:

Text message from MRS BPO, LLC 866-246-0218 regarding Verizon Wireless sending me to collections-->Verizon 1-800-922-0204-->Consumer Financial Protection Bureau 1-855-411-2372 or reportfraud@ftc.gov-->Federal Trade Commission 1-877-382-4357 or reportfraud.ft.gov

Is there anything else about your visit to ReportFraud.ftc.gov that you’d like to share?

Yes, when will Verizon's administrative staff be ALLOWED to STOP SENDING ME BILLS FOR A SERVICE AND PRODUCTS I NO LONGER HAVE NOR USE? I told the MRS BPO, LLC text service to STOP sending me messages regarding these collections notifications on behalf of Verizon Acct# 826731011-00001. I will consider the charges NULL and VOID from this point forward 11/27/2023 at 4:44pm EST.

Got any tips for me?

Hi Candace Gulley of McCarthy Burgess & Wolff, Inc.

I have a record of my dispute posted here:

I wrote this blog after speaking with 3 documented Verizon Customer Service Represetatives that assured me that the 3 phones I retained the FedEx label for were never scanned at the warehouse they were shipped to in Fort Worth, Texas.

I never made a call on them, just charged 2 of them.
